Petals on a Flower
A squared + B squared = C squared, geometry, calculation. How high does a 20’ x 20’ net get if you lift it from the center? (How high is the gallery ceiling??) Brass and copper, contrasting structures in metal. One springy, one softer and drapier, one oxidizes rust to brown, the other gold to green to rust. Flowing like water, draping like fabric. A faintly shimmering fluid cascade of tarnished metal nets, gently settling on the ground into their proper position like petals on a flower, an oversized four-leaf clover x 2.
